November 4th Meeting – Update

The group watched a video that described REM measurements and the rationale for them. Many of us have had this procedure used in recent visits.

Lengthy discussions about dealing with audiologists, the good the not-so-good, and how to judge. Several newcomers to the group had specific cochlear implant questions.

The ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Assoc.) recommends Real Ear Measurement as the preferred method of verifying the performance of hearing aids. It is the most reliable and efficient method of assessing the benefit provided by amplification.

Find out at our November 4th meeting how you can obtain the best results from you hearing loss tests using a Real Ear Measurement.

Other topics in dealing with hearing behavior will be discussed.

Visitors welcomed! Please join us.
