Members of the MontCoHLA chapter attended a Community Forum for People with Hearing Loss presented by the Pennsylvania Office for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (ODHH) in Plymouth Meeting on March 3. ODHH Representative Denise Brown described the organization and function of ODHH to an audience composed mostly of MontCoHLA members. ODHH activity is summarized as AIR: Advocacy, Information, Referral

Their function is independent of, but related to Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. (OVR)

The session featured CART service, FM links, and two ASL interpreters for Ms. Brown, who is deaf, one for her presentation, and a second for questions and comments from the audience.

The discussion included various ALD systems, and special mention was made of induction loop systems
