November Meeting. – HA Costs, HA Batteries, etc.

We welcomed a number of visitors and new members to our meeting.
Tom shared a series of tips and strategies for dealing with social situations in the upcoming holidays. He also reviewed the range of assistive listening devices (ALD) that can be helpful.
The second top was the high cost of hearing aids. Tom reviewed some lower cost alternatives that are available, and discussed their pro’s and con’s.
Hearing aids that use rechargeable batteries offered a unique challenge from Hurricane Sandy. The chargers need AC power! Best to have some available option that uses disposable batteries.
The December meeting will feature our Holiday Party, December 3, 6 p.m.., at our usual venue, the Jeanes Library.
********************************
Chapter Vice President, Thomas Van Arman, will be presiding over Monday night’s chapter meeting.
He will share and discuss information about cheaper hearing aids.
In addition,  since the holidays are coming,  he will also share an article with us called,  Seven Tips to Better Communication. Each of you will get a copy.

There will be a brief informational meeting afterwards.

All are welcome.
