MontCo chapter members may remember that I have installed a hearing loop in the Community Room of the Lansdale Public Library. The loop recently got its first public use.
The library has a movie night, every Friday evening at 6 p.m. (except for the first one of the month) On 4/26 the movie was the acclaimed Lincoln. and the loop was in use. Several members of our chapter were in the audience, and one described the sound as ‘crystal clear’. The normal sound also benefitted from the recently installed speakers and amplifier.
It is expected that the loop will be used for future showings. You can find out what is being show on the library’s website, lansdalelibrary.org, in the Calendar area.
I recognize that Friday evening traffic does not make it easy to get to the library from any distance. If you live in the area, go to the movie, since you can hardly go anywhere else at that time!
