For our November meeting, Jim Fox,Director, System Safety & Risk Management for SEPTA will be our speaker.
He wil describe what SEPTA has been doing over the past couple years to make its service more accommodating for persons with disabilities. He will highlight some of the technology that they have introduced on our vehicles and stations that provide audio and visual information to help the customer who is using our service.
He will also describe the Operation Lifesaver program that will educate the audience about Highway Grade Crossing safety. They provide safe driving tips when driving near or over Railroad Grade crossings. They also discuss the Dangers of Trespassing on the train tracks.
