At our May 7 meeting, Dr. Judith Curtin spoke about the psychological aspects of hearing loss. She is a AAA Board Certified audiologist and a ASHA certified speech pathologist, well qualified to speak on this topic. She provided strategies that help minimize its
impact. A wide-ranging discussion followed her presentation.
Dr. Curtin is a faculty member of West Chester University since 2000 and formerly its Hearing Clinic Coordinator. She guest-lectures at other similar institutions. She is a former Chair for Hearing and Hearing Disorders in Childhood for the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.
